First Drop’s First Drop!
First Drop has hit another six! We’re stoked to announce that we’ve resigned Tanunda cricketing legend Jon Farley for another season as First Drop’s First Drop.
Jon will be batting for the Barossa Valley’s Tanunda A Grade this season using the bespoke First Drop branded ‘Quick Single’ willow. We’re proud to say this makes Jon the only ‘sponsored’ player in Tanunda Cricket Club history. (We think!)
And just to make things interesting… we’ve offered Jon an added incentive to break the record books this season! Jon will be awarded $1 worth of finest First Drop booze for every run he scores, with an additional bottle of ‘Fat of the Land’ for every 50, and a bottle of ‘The Cream’ for every century!
The first match is set for 13 October, future fixtures will be announced in due course. Keep track of The Accumulator to see how many runs Jon has scored (and how much booze we owe him) as the season progresses…
