This is a blend of Touriga Nacional (85%) and Tinta Roriz (15%). These Portuguese varieties are ideally suited to the maritime climate of McLaren Vale, and combine to make a rich, yet elegant style, displaying vibrant fruit and silken texture. Douro dreaming!

The nose here is very much focused on dark, black fruit. Mulberries, black plums and mocha-scented oak. The palate is full but delicious with round tannins and a chocolate finish. Drink now. Screw cap.

85% touriga nacional, 15% tinta roriz, crushed/destemmed, closed fermentation with wild yeast, 10 days on skins, fermentation finished in French barriques and hogsheads, matured for 15 months in 45% new French barriques and 55% used French hogsheads. Deep crimson-purple; the first and last flavours of the wine are dipped deep in dark chocolate, leaving no room for discussion on its McLaren Vale origins which far outweigh the varietal characters, whatever they may be.
